The Orange Trail complex was approved as part of the comprehensive plan for the city Har/2050 of Hod Hasharon which was approved on 11/05/2022 and marked as an area as complex number 1.4 in the plan intended for the purpose of preparing a detailed plan for the complex which will include about 2200 residential units and another 10,000 square meters for commerce. Since the area of the entire complex is about 700 dunams, this is a very low density of about 3 units per dunam. In the past, it was expected that the complex would include about 8,000 housing units, which led many investors to invest in the complex, but today, with the approval of the Har/2050 plan, the potential in the complex has been significantly reduced, as has the viability of investing in the complex.
